Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. After her parents divorced, they moved together with their mother to Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. The television film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken.
