Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig, September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. After her parents divorced, they moved together with their mother to Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time in the financial department. The television film Murder in Greenwich, in which she played a 15-year-old Martha Moxley earned her the nomination of a Young Artist Award. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television show in 2004. The show featured her as the principal role for two seasons, and was awarded the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on the role of a greater part in films, having appeared alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She starred as Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken the year 2008) in Suburban Girl and The Jane Austen Book Club. The actress reprised her character as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation to Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. In 2013, she appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie as well as a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She's a Gyllenhaal. daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as more senior in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. As a teenager she appeared in small roles in the films of her father and was co-starring with her brother in Donnie Darko the cult classic. The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Her other roles include a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) as well as a singer in the film Frank (2014) as well as the title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a writer and director in 2021, with the psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
