John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has been able to touch many by his lyrics. Many of these have roots in Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in love with Colorado and later moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame states the fact that John Denver is unlike any other performer who has the recognizable image of Colorado. Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. He has become the personification of Colorado to the everyone around the world. Certainly in my travels you encounter someone on the other part of the globe, someone from New Zealand and you say "I'm of Colorado and the very first thing that comes that comes out of their mouths is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads written by co-writer Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo artist following a short time in small folk groups. Danoff composed the track inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver could hear an early version of the song and realized the song would be an instant hit in the top 10. Just a few days after performing to an excited audience at Washington D.C., the singer recorded this song.

The drama teacher who she was with caught her running across his lawn, in order to be late for the field hockey game, he advised she to not practice and join the cast of Richard III and thus began her love affair with acting.
